This is a banner I created for the childrens program at Sutherland Church. I had free reign over what to illustrate, and i've enjoyed birch trees lately, so TaDaaa!!

Postcard Mailer
So this took forever, but well worth it. Another solid piece to add to my portfolio and LOOK at all that color and texture mmmmm:) This is for my proffessional practice class, and the project was to design a postcard to send to publishers and such. It isnt due for a week or so, so i'm still doing a couple touchups on it. If you see any thing that needs changing, in terms of color, please tell me haha.
pencil, ink, photoshop. I'd say about 5 full days of my life.
And some close-ups...

Raccoon Story
Final Project for children's book illustration YAYYY! Create 5 pages for a book, and we get to pick the idea. So, Basically, a true story about my dad as a boy, walking home through the woods one day, and seeing a baby raccoon, takes it home, naming it Oboe, and how it lived with them:) I also made up some Rhymes for select pages, so Enjoy!
Also, FYI, these are not in order ;)
Also, FYI, these are not in order ;)
The boy lifted Oboe
To show to his mom
And hoped beyond hope
That she would stay calm
As the figure climbed out
The boy lost his fear
For a curious baby
Raccoon had appeared
On hot summer days
Oboe played in his pool
And swam circles for hours
Until he felt cool

Girl, Flowers, Birds.
I love it when a chance comes up for me to do detailed line art. Its time-consuming, repetitive, and incredibly rewarding. For my decorative illustration final, we had to create an extremely detailed piece that would be transformed into a macbook cover. I spent roughly 12 hours on this over 2 weeks. Last night i slept 1.5 hours in the attempt to finish it for this mornings class. I am really pleased with it. However, as much as I love the black and white, i am interesting in testing out colors too!! Sooo keep posted for color tests;)
Dedicated to all you Bird and Flower Lovers;) Happy Spring!!

Phobias
Alright so i debated not putting these up, cause i feel like it was the least successful project i did this semester, except for the second card. Anyway, basically phobias. in order: fear of going to bed, fear of large bees, the fear that a duck somewhere is watching you, the fear of toads, and the fear of the ugly. Believe it or not, people in my class didn't understand that a shaved, dyed-pink dog was ugly... is it just me??

Howls Moving Castle Cover
So here is my final book cover, front and back covers, for Howls moving castle. This is kinda my interpretation, but it still looks a little similar to the movie. I am decently happy with it lol. Probably cause i used like a bagillion textures:) mmmmm:) The second one has text, for the fun of it:)
