Postcard Mailer

So this took forever, but well worth it.  Another solid piece to add to my portfolio and LOOK at all that color and texture mmmmm:) This is for my proffessional practice class, and the project was to design a postcard to send to publishers and such.  It isnt due for a week or so, so i'm still doing a couple touchups on it.  If you see any thing that needs changing, in terms of color, please tell me haha.

pencil, ink, photoshop. I'd say about 5 full days of my life.

And some close-ups...

Raccoon Story

Final Project for children's book illustration YAYYY!  Create 5 pages for a book, and we get to pick the idea.  So, Basically, a true story about my dad as a boy, walking home through the woods one day, and seeing a baby raccoon, takes it home, naming it Oboe, and how it lived with them:)  I also made up some Rhymes for select pages, so Enjoy!

Also, FYI, these are not in order ;)

The boy lifted Oboe
To show to his mom
And hoped beyond hope
That she would stay calm

As the figure climbed out
The boy lost his fear
For a curious baby
Raccoon had appeared

On hot summer days
Oboe played in his pool
And swam circles for hours
Until he felt cool
